At ThumbPress, we stay busy until every image issue on your WordPress website gets resolved.

## Our Story

ThumbPress was founded in 2016, initially focused on preventing unnecessary thumbnail generation and giving site owners an easy way to regenerate the thumbnails they actually need. A single WordPress upload could quietly spawn dozens of extra image sizes — bloating storage and slowing sites down — and we set out to fix exactly that.

As our team dug deeper, we found many more image-related problems holding WordPress sites back: oversized uploads, missing modern formats like WebP and AVIF, duplicate and unused media, and heavy images that hurt page speed. ThumbPress grew well beyond its original scope into a comprehensive solution that tackles all of them in one place.

Today, ThumbPress is a one-stop solution to all image and thumbnail-related issues for WordPress sites — so you can manage your media with confidence and stay focused on performance and building your site.
