ThumbPress Plugin Data Collection

This section explains what data the ThumbPress WordPress plugin (the free version listed on WordPress.org as “image-sizes”) sends from your website to us, and when. This is strictly opt-in. The plugin does not collect or transmit any data automatically. Nothing is sent on installation, during normal use, in the background, or on a schedule. Data leaves your site only when a logged-in administrator chooses to submit one of the two optional forms below.

1. Activation feedback survey. After activation, the plugin may show an optional notice asking if you would like to share basic information to help us improve the plugin. If — and only if — you click “Ok, I agree”, the plugin sends your WordPress profile first and last name, your WordPress profile email address, the plugin slug, and your site URL. Clicking “Remind me later”, dismissing, or ignoring the notice sends nothing.

2. Deactivation feedback form. When you deactivate the plugin, it may show an optional feedback form. If — and only if — you click “Submit & Deactivate”, the plugin sends the items above plus the time elapsed since you installed the plugin, the deactivation reason(s) you selected, and any free-text feedback you typed. Clicking “Skip & Deactivate” sends nothing.

Where the data goes. This information is sent to our customer-relationship system (CRM) at https://my.pluggable.io, operated by ThumbPress / Codexpert.

Why we collect it. To follow up with you, understand how the plugin is used across different sites, and improve the product.

Retention and your rights. We keep this information only as long as needed for the purposes above. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information you submitted at any time by emailing [email protected]. Because submission is manual and opt-in, you can also simply choose not to submit the forms.
