A CDN caches your images on servers around the world and serves each visitor from the nearest one. If you have a global audience or image-heavy pages, it will noticeably cut load times once available.

Yes - and this is the only ThumbPress feature designed to do that. Every other tool runs entirely on your own server; the CDN is the deliberate exception, because global delivery requires edge copies.

No. The CDN is designed to sit in front of the media library you already have, so your existing images and their URLs stay exactly as they are.

Plenty, and all of it free: convert to WebP or AVIF, switch on lazy loading, disable the thumbnail sizes your theme never uses, and clear out oversized files. Most sites get their biggest wins from those four before a CDN is even in the picture.

Pricing has not been finalised. Because edge delivery carries real bandwidth costs, we will be upfront about how it is priced well before launch.
